At Rosti Automotive we pride ourselves in developing our people. A number of our senior personnel started their careers in junior roles within the business, many as apprentices before growing within the Company.
Within our company you can grow a rewarding career in a range of different disciplines. Our careers opportunities include:
We have our own in house leadership development programme known as RAMP (Rosti Automotive Management Programme). This has a number of levels to help people to move up levels within our business and fulfil their potential. Linked to this are opportunities for people to broaden their knowledge and skills in Continuous Improvement activities, cross functional Project teams, as well as through traditional training courses. Our people recognise that personal development requires commitment, enthusiasm and self-motivation for them to succeed.
Rosti Automotive recognise the importance of apprentices and apprenticeships. From Day 1, you are employed on a permanent contract and viewed as a professional with a number of routes to build the career you aspire to. Our apprenticeship programs focus on developing each person individually so that they can gain the tailored hands on experience and the employment skills they need, alongside a recognised qualification.
This is best highlighted using the example of Lizzie Roberts, a Tool Making Apprentice at our Canning Brett site in Wales. Lizzie was chosen by the Welsh Government to showcase apprentice opportunities. A video was made which was broadcast on national television, detailing Lizzie’s experiences as an apprentice with Rosti Automotive.
Rosti Automotive understand the value of offering graduate opportunities across all of our sites. We believe that graduates have enormous potential, but that this potential needs to be polished and nurtured. Therefore, we develop our graduates to be upcoming leaders and managers. We ensure our graduates receive the support they need, with regular reviews and exposure to the wider business to give them the necessary experience and building blocks. In recent years, we have developed graduates across a range of departments such as Design Engineering, New Product Engineering, Quality Engineering, Process Engineering, Sales, Project Management, Finance and HR.
In order to help us develop our engineers and technicians and to enable them to gain professional accreditations, we have entered a Corporate Partnership with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). The IET is one of the world’s largest engineering institutions and has approximately 167,000 members across 150 countries.
Our Corporate Partnership with the IET will enable our engineers and technicians to gain cutting edge technical skills through joint training initiatives and recognised accreditations, including Engineering Technician (EngTech) and the coveted Chartered Engineer (CEng).
